Our Vision?

A Healthier State of Mind for People in King County.

Guided by research and collective input from stakeholders across King County and the nation, we have identified four key areas of focus:

Reduce Stigma and
Increased Acceptance

GOAL: People with mental health conditions experience less discrimination, making it easier to seek care.

Expand Prevention
and Early Intervention

GOAL: There is funding and infrastructure in place so that people at risk for mental illness are identified early and receive treatment.

Develop and Fund Services to Support Recovery

GOAL: There are comprehensive programs in place to help people recover fully and return to productive lives.

Increase Capacity and Quality of Care

GOAL: People who have mental health conditions are able to get the timely care and quality services they need.

We believe early efforts should be focused on those most vulnerable:

the 65,000 people in King County who live with  a serious mental illness on incomes at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
